The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr. Patrick Aboagye announced that the first batch of Ghanaians who have been vaccinated will receive the second jab of the AstraZeneca vaccines from the end of April to May.
Persons who were vaccinated about 8-12 weeks ago would be given the second jab as the government seeks various alternatives to procure more vaccines.
Today on The Probe, Joy News' Emefa Apawu and Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Franklin Asiedu Bekoe will delve into the full details of the roll-out and news that herd immunity to the coronavirus disease would not be achieved in 2021, despite the growing availability of vaccines as disclosed by WHO’s top scientist, Soumya Swaminathan.
