JoyNews’ current affairs programme, The Probe, has been crowned the Best Radio/TV Programme (English) at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.
The prestigious recognition, announced on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, affirms The Probe's standing as Ghana's leading platform for in-depth, high-impact journalism and analytical discussion in the English language.
This significant win is a major highlight for The Multimedia Group Limited (MGL), Ghana's largest independent media organisation, which demonstrated a strong performance across the awards.

MGL’s platforms collectively secured numerous accolades, underscoring its continuous commitment to quality and influence across both English and vernacular media markets.
The 29th GJA Awards ceremony was historic, being the first time the event was hosted outside the capital city, Accra, and was held under the esteemed patronage of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The event reviewed 321 entries from journalists across the country.

The ceremony focused on the critical theme: "Safeguarding Ghana's future: The role of the media in promoting peace, security and the fight against galamsey," underscoring the vital role of programmes like 'The Probe' in national security and environmental accountability discourse.
The recognition of The Probe solidifies its status as a benchmark for English-language political and current affairs programming in Ghana.
