Nigerian couple Simi and Adekunle Gold have released a new song to celebrate the birthday of their first child.
Taking to her social media handle to celebrate young Deja, Simi posted photos of her and her daughter twinning in similar pink outfits alongside her husband.
The musician also shared with her followers the love she has for her daughter and the many experiences she has shared with her.
She wrote that she is excited to see her baby grow and blossom as the years go by.
“Your Nana has been an incredible mother to me, and by the grace of God, I will surpass that and be an even better mom to you. Your dad and I are so proud of you.”
“He looks at you often and says to me ", Baby, look what we made." And really, look what we made. Happy birthday, baby,” the ‘Joromi’ hitmaker wrote.
Simi added that all the proceeds from the song which features her husband, Adekunle will go to a savings account for her daughter to help secure her future.
She urged fans to stream the music in a Twitter post.
The Happy Birthday song is our favourite gift to Deja today. Every kobo, cent, penny we make from the Streams of this song will go into her account. For her future. So I hope you stream and stream as a gift to her too. Thank you. #HappyBirthdayDejahttps://t.co/P6gifePyAS
