The race to become Eastern Regional Champions of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) has proven to be for the bold and daring as Aburi Girls SHS (ABUGIS) failed to qualify for the semi-final stage.
Contestants for Ghana SHS (GHANASS), Koforidua on Friday, June 4, shattered the hopes and aspirations of three schools including the girls from ABUGISS.
Aburi Girls Senior High School (ABUGISS) who withdrew from 2020’s NSMQ contest but decided to participate in this year’s competition had many supporters excited and looking out for an intense competition. But these dreams were short lived.
To secure a slot in the semi-final stage, GHANASS today schooled Nifa SHS, Aburi Girls' SHS and Osino Presby SHS on the true qualities of a leader.
As swift as a Cheetah, contestants from the Koforidua-based school secured the lead position with 22 points. Nifa SHS followed closely with 12 while both Aburi Girls Osino Presby SHS scored 8 points.
