The Akatsi South MCE, Leo Nelson Adzidogah, have urged the emergency health management committee to educate the public more on the Covid-19 pandemic, especially on the third wave.
Leo Nelson Adzidogah was speaking as the chairman of the committee at the Akatsi South assembly during a meeting by the committee.
He noted an urgent need for stakeholders of the health sector to make sure that the President's directive on the Covid-19 protocols is strictly adhered to by everyone to curb the spread of the virus.
He encouraged the committee to work harder in helping government fight the virus by bringing innovative ways to their work.
"You must, as a committee, make sure that the public is well educated and the protocols reinforced among the people," he saidÂ
The Akatsi Health Director, Dr George Nyarko, who briefed the committee on the updates of the district in regards to the pandemic, said that the directorate is doing very well to make sure that the public gets the needed education on the issue.
Dr George Nyarko said 12 new cases have been recorded in the district.Â
