President Akufo-Addo has indicated that the Tolon District Government Hospital will be operational in the next few months and not 2022.
According to him, all the necessary consumables and seed capital for the commencement of work are set for the smooth take-off of the facility.
"Tolon Hospital which is part of EUROJET group of hospitals has been completed and very soon it will be operationalized. The seed capital has been budgeted for, the consumables have also now been procured. We are looking at transport and when that is over, the hospital will become operationalized in the coming months and not another year,” he said.
President Akufo-Addo made this known while addressing the Chiefs and people of Tolon during his two-day tour of the Northern Region.

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in November last year, commissioned the Tolon Hospital which is yet to begin operation.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has assured the people of Tolon that government is working to end the age-long water crisis in the area.
He also assured the people that the government is committed to setting up an agriculture mechanization center to boost farming activities and ensure food security in the area.
The extension of electricity and the construction of a modern community center among other projects, he said have been earmarked for the area.
President Akufo-Addo also said a request by the chief to set up an Agric Development Bank (ADB) in Tolon to provide soft loans for smallholder farmers will also materialized.
