Tema Youth goalkeeper, Christian Addai, on Wednesday underwent a successful surgery as he looks to recover from from a horrific leg injury.
The 19-year-old broke his leg in last week’s Division One League Super Cup group game against Bibiani Gold Stars at the Madina Astro Turf.
The industrious shot-stopper suffered the injury following his collision with forward Andrews Baidoo in the latter stage of the game and was rushed to the hospital.
However, as part of his way to recovery, the teenager has had a successful surgery, Tema Youth have confirmed through their social media pages.

"We're glad to bring to the notice of the general public and the sporting fraternity that our Captain Christian Addai has successfully undergone a surgery on his broken leg. Thank you all for your fervent prayers and support," a statement from the club on Twitter read.
Addai is expected to be on the sideline for the next few months and will be hoping to return to guide his side to Ghana Premier League promotion next season.
