After keenly-contested preliminary contests, Oda SHS and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls' SHS, from the Eastern and Bono-Ahafo zones beat their contenders to pulp to register their presence in the next level of the competition.
At the end of the competition in the Bono-Ahafo zone on Tuesday, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls won with 30 points, placing them ahead of their close contender Drobo SHS who scored 29 points.
The "Carmelites" are the fourth school from the Bono-Ahafo Zone. They faced a fierce challenge from Drobo SHS in Rounds Three, Four and Five to progress to the next stage.

St. Francis Seminary SHS trailed with only 18 points after scoring zero in the 'Problem of the Day' round.

In the Eastern region, Oda SHS beat their competitors to progress to the next level of the national competition.
From the first to third rounds of the contest, Oda SHS placed second until they took over from Nifa SHS in the fourth and fifth rounds to emerge victors at the end of the contest.
Oda SHS gathered 27 points whereas Nifa SHS and Boso SHTS gathered 22 and 11 points respectively at the end of the contest.
