Eating in public is very common in Ghana. We know where we buy our food- the seller by the corner or that popular 'Chop Bar'. What we don't know is where those who cook the food we eat in public buy the ingredients from.
In our Photo of the Week, we feature a vegetable seller at Agbogbloshie in Accra who we captured scavenging for few of her garden eggs that have fallen into a gutter on which she sits to sell vegetables.
The woman’s attitude is an affront to food safety as the lives of unsuspecting buyers of her contaminated garden eggs could easily be put at risk.
This is a consumer alert. So buyer, beware!
