The La magistrate Court, has issued a warrant for the arrest of Dr. Stephen Amoah, the MP for Nhyiaeso and one Samuel Anim for failing to attend hearing on Wednesday.
Dr. Stephen Amoah is among seven drivers of V8 vehicles who were arrested for various road traffic offences on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 during a special exercise by the Police.
The drivers were charged with offences such as careless driving, dangerous driving and causing road obstruction, among others.
According to a statement issued by the Police on Wednesday, five out of the seven drivers who were put before the La Magistrate court on Wednesday were present.
Four of the drivers have been fined an amount of GH₵1,800 each or in default, serve a three-month prison term.
The four are; Dominic Atuahene-Ababio, Daniel Boateng, Emmanuel Kofi Ofori and Joseph Brown.
One other driver who appeared in court, Thomas Atinga, was convicted to sign a bond of good behaviour for three months or in default serve a three-month prison term.

“The Police Administration has directed all Police formations throughout the country to clamp down on recalcitrant drivers, especially those who drive V8 vehicles. They are cautioned to stop flouting Road Traffic Regulations or face the full rigour of the law if arrested,” the statement added.
