JoyNews’ investigations have uncovered how children are trafficked for a sum of GH¢1000 to work on cocoa farms at Elluokrom in the Western North region.
One of the victims, Rasheeda, said her master started using her when she was 11 years.
She told investigative journalist Kwetey Nartey that she wants to return to the classroom.
This is what to expect in JoyNews’ latest hotline documentary ‘Children in Cocoa Labour’.
It will air on Monday, January 10, at 8:30am on the Super Morning Show and 8:30pm on the JoyNews channel.
