Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said the Nana Akufo-Addo's led administration is much aware that they will be judged by how much development they are able to bequeath to the people of Savannah Region.
He said the political mandate given to them (Government) by the Chiefs and people is to develop the country and Government is on course.
The Vice President said this when he visited the Palaces of Yagbomwura Sulemana Tuntuba Bore-Essa (II) and Buipewura Mahama Jinapor in Damongo and Buipe in appreciation of the participation of the Chiefs during the final funeral rites of his mother, Hajia Mariama Bawumia.

The Vice President, further stated, "we will be judged by how much development we are able to bring home and we are making every effort to bring the development for our people.
"So, we will not stop work. Keep praying for us. We know you will not stop. We want to go on. And only your prayers and support will carry us and we can say that you sent us and we have brought development to the people of Savannah Region", he indicated.

On fixing the Damongo water problem, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said that, "we are much concerned about the water problem and Nana Akufo-Addo is keen on solving this major water problem in the Savannah Region.
"Very soon, within a month, the Damongo water project will begin and the water problem will be a thing of the past", he assured.

He expressed his family's gratitude to the Chiefs adding, "you have shown that I was your son and you sent a very powerful delegation to the funeral and I'm here with my brothers and sisters to say a big thank you. God bless you for your kindness, sympathy and support during the performance of our mother's funeral rites".

Baba Bawumia, Musah Bawumia and Lariba Abudu were part of the delegation that visited the Region.
