Football fanatics are excited that social media platform, Twitter, has finally recognised Lionel Andrés Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the Greatest Of All Times (G.O.A.T).
On Wednesday, February 23, Twitter attached the goat emoji to trends pertaining to the two players, who have contested keenly when it comes to winning the Ballon d'Or, and are generally regarded as the best two to ever play the sport.
Twitter's confirmation may finally bring an end to the contention that Messi is superior to Ronaldo or otherwise.
Now, the Argentine forward and Portuguese player are on the same wavelength - according to Twitter.
Fans from the two sides have flooded the platform with posts reiterating the fact that both Messi and Ronaldo are the G.O.A.T.
Meanwhile, #Messi and #CR7 are battling to top Twitter's trends list.
