The Nsawam Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has opened the highway for motorists to safely and freely proceed to their destinations after it was closed briefly following an accident on the by-pass.
On Thursday evening, a man diesel rigid truck loaded with poultry feed was involved in a motor accident.
The said vehicle with registration number AS 2780 U, blocked the entire Accra-Kumasi stretch of the N6.

During that period, the Nsawam MTTD officers diverted Kumasi bound traffic to allow for motorists to safely and freely proceed to their destinations.
The Road Safety Management Services Limited towing crew together with a recovery truck was at the scene to assist with the removal of the accident truck, according to the Police in its earlier statement.

In a subsequent update, the Service on Friday noted that the vehicle has been recovered from the road.
The Police thanked the Road Safety Management Services Limited towing crew "for their timely and professional response."
Meanwhile, all cargo truck owners have been entreated to avail their drivers "for mandatory retraining to improve their driving skills to avoid such rollover single crashes."
