Government may consider going to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for support if the current homegrown programme fails to bring the needed economic stability and restore investor confidence.
According to the Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. John Kumah, an IMF programme will be pursued if needed.
Prior to this revelation by the Deputy Minister, the government had said that the Electronic Transaction Levy will generate enough revenue for the country to prevent the country from going to the IMF for support.
