Musician Fameye has recently reacted to the assertion that TikTok is fast ‘killing songs’.
He believes his songs aren’t in the category of songs whose longevity is threatened by time on social media.
In an interview with Joy Entertainment at a VGMA Summit on Tuesday, the highlife crooner disclosed that “Tiktok is not killing my songs; my songs are in a special order”.
“In the absence of TikTok, we are still making our monies…TikTok causes songs to experience major hits for a while, then drops and moves to the next. But TikTok serves as a plus to my music”, he added.
The "Praise" hitmaker asserts that it takes a long time for his songs to become significant hits and follow a unique structure.
“Anything that comes quickly fades quickly”, he said, adding, "my songs take a long time, like two to three years for the concept to strike."
The musician made this claim about the recent assertions that the TikTok platform kills songs rapidly.
Fameye, whose 'Songs of Peter' album has been doing well on streaming platforms, also implored fans to keep an eye out for videos to some singles off the album while anticipating other special packages.
