Don't be quick to rundown Indigenous Ghanaian Companies.
That's the caution from the chamber of Freights and Trade which has waded into the latest findings of the special prosecutor which indicted the Frozen Foods Company Liabanca.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) days ago announced its recovery of GHC1million from Labianca Company Limited owing to what it describes as a shortfall in import duties the company paid to the state.
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng also made some subsequent directives to the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority to draw up an integrity plan by December this year.
However, reacting to the findings the Chamber of Freight and trade says the situation was no fault of the frozen food Company.
Speaking on The Pulse with Blessed Sogah, the President of the group indicated that such refund are regular and often occur in the freight industry.
“So they have not done anything out of place” Dennis Amfo Sefah stated.
