Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu is questioning the allegations that Chinese 'galamsey' kingpin, Aisha Huang has a Ghana Card.
Speaking on the AM Show on Tuesday, he expressed concern over how the lady was reportedly issued the national identity card.
This comes in the wake of the notorious suspect's re-arrest in Ghana.
He therefore stressed that the Minority will be monitoring events closely in the coming days, especially since she was deported before her card's issuance date.
"And then registration for Ghana Card. How did it happen? How did she get the Ghana Card?", he quizzed in an interview with Samuel Kojo Brace.
Aisha Huang, aka Aisha Ruixia, a 47-year-old was earlier deported in 2019, over her involvement in illegal mining activities.
However, she was recently remanded in custody by an Accra Circuit Court last Friday, for mining without a license and engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a valid license.
She was remanded together with three other accomplices; Johng Li Hua, Huang Jei and Huaid Hai Hun.
They have all been charged with engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a license.
The three, including a female (Jei) however denied the charge.
The court presided by Samuel Bright Acquah has therefore remanded them into lawful custody to reappear on September 14.
Meanwhile, there are rife concerns about how she managed to return to Ghana, after the controversial circumstances of her deportation a few years ago.
According to sources, she managed to sneak into the country with a fake identity and obtained a Ghana Card in the process.
This, the Minority said they will follow the developments to the latter.
