Nigeria international, Calvin Bassey, has heaped praise on Black Stars midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, following his blistering start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Kudus has directly been involved in three goals so far in two games, scoring two and assisting the other.
The 22-year-old set up Andre Ayew for Ghana's equaliser during the 3-2 defeat to Portugal in the opening game before netting a brace in the emphatic victory over South Korea at the Education City Stadium on Monday, November 28.
Reacting to Kudus' performance at the competition so far, Bassey, who together with the Super Eagles missed out on the World Cup at the expense of the Black Stars, couldn't hide his admiration for his club teammate.
"[Mohammed Kudus is a] star boy. He's on fire. Good player," Bassey said through Ajax's Twitter.
"Crazy, right? I'm happy for him."
Bassey joined Kudus at Ajax during the summer transfer window, joining from Scottish side Rangers.

On the other hand, Kudus will be hoping to get Ghana to advance to the knockout phase of the World Cup when they face Uruguay in their last group game on Friday, December 2.
