Former President John Mahama is seemingly happy to be babysitting for his son Shafik and his wife Asma.
Taking to social media, the former President shared a mashup of videos of his granddaughter, showing her face for the first time.
In one video, John Mahama was seen rocking her to sleep and subsequently cradling the baby they named Alyazia Frema Mahama.
In another, he was seen holding the baby while former First Lady Lordina Mahama cleaned her up.
“Congratulations Shafik and Asma. Welcome grand daughter Alyazia Frema Mahama,” John Mahama wrote.
Alyazia Frema Mahama was born on November 29, 2022 - Alyazia shares same birthday with her grandfather.
Shafik’s wife, Asma, who is from Algeria, delivered their first child two and half years after their wedding.
Asma took to her Instagram page to break the good news on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
