Ghana is currently restructuring its debt both domestically and externally in order to access support from the IMF.
A high-powered government delegation will visit China to convince authorities there to accept Ghana’s proposal for debt cancellation with the Paris club.
It is part of the government’s restructuring of its external debts.
On the back of this, host Benjamin Akakpo and George Wiafe together with their panelist discussed the formation of an official creditor committee, and the steps needed to engage in debt relief talks for the country.
