The mortal remains of the late Mujipewura Abdul-Rahman has been laid to rest at his private residence in Mujipe, Savannah Region.
The burial, according to sources, was a strategy to calm nerves amidst the high tensions and suspicions in the area following the chief’s death.

The Jakpa and Kpembde palaces as well as the Savannah Regional Security Council and the Gonja Land Youth Association were all represented at the burial.
It will be recalled that on the 30th day of March 2023, some unidentified assailants invaded Muijipewura's palace and shot him, killing him instantly.

But his son, who also sustained gunshot wounds in his back, was later rescued by the timely arrival of police personnel and is currently responding to treatment.
The third-day 'adua' (Muslim prayers for the dead) was observed on Sunday, 3rd March.
