Former President John Mahama has expressed his good wishes to Ghanaians as Christians around the world celebrate Easter.
He is optimistic that the sacrifices Jesus Christ made on the cross should inculcate forgiveness and compassion in Ghanaians.
He said this in a tweet on Friday, April 7 to mark the Easter Good Friday.
Christians in Ghana and around the globe are today commemorating the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for sin.
In this regard, the former President sought for God's peace and love for the country and Ghanaians.
May the ultimate sacrifice of Christ who gave His life for our sake guide our journey on earth & instill in us the power of forgiveness & compassion.

"May the ultimate sacrifice of Christ who gave His life for our sake guide our journey on earth and instil in us the power of forgiveness and compassion.
"May His redeeming blood fill us with hope, joy and peace and inspire us to love one as Christ loved us," former president Mahama tweeted.
Meanwhile, Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has also urged Christians to imitate the sacrifices Jesus Christ made to humanity as they celebrate the Easter festivities.
He believes if Christians are able to emulate the steps of Jesus Christ, there would be a “cordial co-existence on earth.”
