The presidential and parliamentary election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is underway nationwide today, Saturday, April 13.
A total number of 356,624 are expected to vote at 420 voting centres in 275 constituencies nationwide.
All the constituencies will have presidential primaries, however, in some 16 constituencies, voting will be done for only presidential candidates.
This means that only 259 constituencies will have the parliamentary primaries.
Two candidates—John Dramani Mahama and Kojo Bonsu— are contesting for presidential flagbearership.
On the other hand, 739 parliamentary candidates are contesting the election. Out of them, 47 candidates are contesting unopposed.
