Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama has eulogised him for his passion to seeing women and young people grow to help build the country.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari says Mr Mahama’s passion for humanity is desirable.
In a Facebook post on Friday, June 9, to chronicle how the former president discovered her, Madam Mogtari asked young people to avail themselves for mentorship.
According to her, that is key to achieving success in the future for whatever endeavour they set out to achieve in life.
“Dear young people, President Mahama discovered me a Young Activist and Lawyer and groomed me for the job! Today let me indicate that beyond the close relationship, the working relationship and of course the campaigns that have been prosecuted over the years, HE John Mahama is a passionate advocate for Women and young people and is certainly the Man to help us build the Ghana we want!“
Former President John Mahama is seeking to be re-elected as president of the country in the 2024 presidential elections.
He won flagbearer primaries to lead the National Democratic Congress into the 2024 presidential election, polling an overwhelming 297,603 votes representing 98.9% of the total valid votes cast at the end of the NDC primaries on Saturday, May 13.
His only contender, the former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu, polled a paltry 3,181 representing 1.1%.
The other contender in the flagbearership race, former Finance Minister in the Mills regime, Kwabena Duffour, pulled out of the race a day before the polls.
This is the fourth time John Mahama will be leading the NDC into an election.
