Black Meteors forward Ernest Nuamah says the team will be playing with everything they have in the game against Guinea at the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana will play Guinea in their final Group A game on Friday, June 30, knowing that anything but a win will mean they exit the competition while also ending any hopes of making the 2024 Olympic Games to be staged in Paris.
The Black Meteors find themselves in a tricky situation after a disappointing performance on Tuesday night led to a 5-1 defeat to Morocco.
But Nuamah, who scored Ghana's first goal in the tournament is confident the team will give their all against Guinea.
"It’s very important because we know if we don’t win, we don’t qualify," he told CAF TV after the game against the Atlas Lions.
"We are really coming in for it."
According to him, there was a plan to match Morocco in their second game but that failed to materialise on the pitch.
"I have nothing to say. It’s football, it happens. I think we came with our game plan but it went their way," the FC Nordsjaelland attacker added.
Ibrahim Tanko, who narrowly missed out on an Olympics slot the last time will be hoping the team is able to make it out of the group on Friday before going on to achieve the next target.
