The National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s flagbearer for the 2024 general elections is assuring Ghanaians that the party will work to immediately ameliorate their plight.
John Dramani Mahama says the party is committed to ensuring that citizens are given the needed hope.
According to him, that commitment is paramount to any other venture the party will endeavour to undertake. He made the remarks in a Facebook post on Monday, July 31.
However, Mr Mahama said all these dreams and visions cannot be achieved until the “inept NPP government” is booted out from office.
“Transparent and accountable governance in which opportunities are open to all and not just a few is the greatest guarantor of our democracy.”
“The almost seven years of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s maladministration is the biggest threat to the survival of our constitutional democracy. Only a CHANGE of this inept NPP government can ensure the sustainability of our democracy.”
“The next NDC administration will work to restore hope to Ghanaians and quickly. The business-as-usual approach to governance, lies and propaganda will not work”.
The former president has thus assured that the NDC will not take the same path the NPP government has embarked upon.
“We cannot and must avoid repeating the mistakes of the NPP,” he added.
