Ghana international Ernest Nuamah has completed his mandatory medical tests ahead of his imminent move to join French side, Olympique Lyon.
Nuamah and his entourage left for France on Monday, August 21, after Lyon and Nordsjaelland agreed on a deal terms for the player.
The 19-year-old had his medical examination in the early hours of Tuesday ahead of the proposed move.
Nuamah is expected to join Lyon in an initial loan deal with the obligation to permanently sign him at the end of the season
He is expected to pen a deal with the Ligue 1 side until 2028, becoming the latest Ghanaian to play for the French club after Abedi Pele, John Mensah and Michael Essien.
The total package of the forward’s transfer will be €30 million, making him Lyon’s record signing and the most expensive sale in the Danish SuperLiga.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate enjoyed his first full season in Europe during the 2022/23 season with Nordsjaelland where he was close to guiding them to the league title.
Nuamah has already had a blistering start to the 2023/24 season scoring five goals in six games across all competitions for the Danish side while also providing an assist.
Nuamah debuted for the Black Stars during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar back in June.
He was also part of the Black Meteors squad at the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
