The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Wednesday, August 29, hold an emergency meeting of its National Executive Committee (NEC).
According to a statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, another meeting will be held later in the day by the National Council.
This comes of the back of the Super Delegates Conference organised by the NPP on Saturday, August 26 to cut down the number of flagbearer aspirants from 10 to five, ahead of its National Delegates Conference on November 4.
Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia emerged winner at the polls, garnering 629 of the total valid votes cast.
Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and Dr Afriyie Akoto all made the top four.
However, the Party, is expected to hold a runoff for Mr Francis Addai-Nimo and Mr Boakye Agyarko next week Saturday, to decide the fifth candidate, after the two tied up at the end of the polls.
Again, some allegations of vote-buying and attacks were made which marred the Super Delegates Conference.
In view of this, the meeting by NEC and NC is expected to address these controversies.
