Former Ghana youth international Ibrahim Sadiq grabbed the headlines on Thursday night as his brace propelled BK Hacken to the UEFA Europa League group stages.
The 23-year-old scored two goals against Aberdeen in the second leg of their Europa League playoff with the game going on to end 3-1.
Hacken blew away a two-goal lead in the first meeting in Sweden last week to draw 2-2 and needed victory against the Scottish side away from home to advance to the group stage.
Sadiq, who scored one and provided an assist for the other in the earlier meeting, turned up big once again. He opened the scoring for Hacken in the 14th minute with a sweet power drive from outside the box to hand his side the lead.
Yeah, it’s the kind of power he has around the box that makes him standout.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate added a second before the first-half break as he lofted the ball over the on-rushing Aberdeen goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Just like the first leg, Aberdeen tried to stage a comeback with Bojan Miovski scoring from the spot 11 minutes into the second period.
But any hopes of a comeback were dashed with the Swedish side scoring their third goal of the night in the 81st minute and going on to win the fixture with a 5-3 aggregate score.
Just like Mohammed Kudus, except that he scored a hattrick, Sadiq also made his last appearance for Hacken in style as his goals meant his team qualified for the group stage of the 2023/24 Europa League.
The winger is expected to sign for Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar who earlier in the day also sealed a place in this year's UEFA Europa Conference League after winning on penalties against Brann.
