Presidential staffers and other members of the office of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia greeted him with a rousing welcome at the Jubilee House.
This followed his victory as the New Patriotic Party's flagbearer in the just-ended presidential primaries.
Upon his arrival at Jubilee House on Monday, November 6, the Vice President appeared genuinely surprised as he stepped out of his car.
He was met at the entrance of his reception by Dr Augustine Blay, his Executive Secretary, who ushered him to a line-up of his staff, and some of his supporters.

He was warmly received by the staffers, all dressed in white attire.

The staff members exuberantly chanted and cheered as Dr. Bawumia walked through their midst, personally greeting each one of them along the way.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Augustine Blay, who doubles as the head of the Digital Campaign team said, “Standing here today, we have the flagbearer of the NPP, some said it was not possible but today by the grace of God, it is possible.
"So we have here our beloved Vice President, we love him so much, we love him so much, we love him so much”.

Dr Blay said they were overjoyed adding, “We are so happy to see you to be elected as the flagbearer of the NPP, we know, and we believe with you, we shall win the December 2024 elections”.
Vice President Dr Bawumia praised his team heads and the entire team for working hard to meet his expectations.
He urged them to keep up with the hard work to 'break the eight' in the upcoming general elections.
"I want to thank you. This is only stage one. So after you celebrate this afternoon you start work again and then we move forward because there is a lot of work ahead.
"But I cannot thank you enough for being the best staff I could have ever wished for," he told the gathering.
He was also presented with a large bouquet of flowers.
In attendance were, Elizabeth Utaka, Director, in charge of Administration and Scheduling; Edward Appiah, Presidential Staffer; Dr Alhassan Mutaka Alolo, a Director of Special Projects; and Alhaji Ismaela Ibrahim, the Director of Operations.
Others were Professor Joe Amoako-Tuffuor, the Secretary to EMT) and Evron Hughes, the Director of External Economic Relations among others.
In the presidential primaries held last Saturday, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia emerged as the winner, triumphing in 14 out of the 16 regions, while his closest contender, Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, secured victory in just two regions.
