The National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, has sadly passed away.
She died on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
The former Chief Executive Officer of Ambar Quality Food Limited, who played a crucial role in the program, has left a void with her untimely demise, as confirmed by a family source to Adomonline.com.
Born on February 1, 1960, in Dzelukope, Keta, in the Volta Region, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah who held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Ambar Quality Foods Limited, was not only a prominent figure in the field of hospitality but also made significant contributions to the Ghanaian food industry.
She was the wife of the late Major Courage E. K Quashigah (Rtd), a former Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration.
Having graduated from Keta Secondary Senior High School, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah pursued advanced studies in her chosen field.
During her tenure, the Ghana School Feeding Programme achieved remarkable success in providing widespread access to nutritious meals for children nationwide.
