A consumer product manufacturing company, Longrich International is planning to expand its presence in Ghana with plans to establish a production plant in the country.
The company's commitment to Ghana was further demonstrated through its recent donation of relief items to victims of the Volta region floods.
The community was one of the hardest hit by the spillage of the Akosombo Dam.
Longrich Ghana donated over 3,000 packs of sanitary pads and panty liners, along with other essential supplies, to victims in Mepe and surrounding towns. The donation was valued at over GH₵100,000.

Presenting the relief items, Longrich Country Manager, David Dai reiterated the company's plans to construct a production facility in Ghana.
This expansion aligns with Longrich's success in Nigeria, where its multimillion-dollar production plant has created hundreds of jobs. A similar plant in Ghana is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and contribute to the country's economic growth.

The planned production plant has been welcomed by local leaders, including Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. He expressed gratitude for Longrich's timely assistance to flood victims and highlighted the potential socio-economic benefits of the company's expansion into Ghana.

Business Partners of Longrich, who contributed to the donation include Mrs. Sylvia Adjoa Lawson, Mrs. Lucy Mathias, Eugenia Huni Antwi, Nana Poku, Gifty Essel Cobbah and Stella Dzikunu, and Star Directors Nick Owusu and Kennedy Amoako,
The devastating floods have left over 26,000 people displaced. North Tongu alone has recorded some 12,633 displaced people, with families seeking refuge in tents and school buildings across 21 camps.
