Ghanaian content creator, Patrick Amenuvor has decided to end his attempt at the longest-standing marathon.
This was just under 4-hours into his January 14 Guinness World Record endeavor which was scheduled to span 7 days.
Amenuvor cited inadvertent violations of some of the rules governing the stand-a-thon as his rationale for terminating the challenge.
The specific rules that were inadvertently broken remain unclear.
Due to these rule violations, Amenuvor chose to truncate the development, which was initially planned to span seven days.

In a statement, he expressed his intention to undertake the stand-a-thon challenge again in the future.
“At this point, I deem it fit to get back with my team to review our attempt so far and make sure to avoid any errors that may hinder my future attempt,” portions of the communique read.
Patrick Amenuvor expressed gratitude to everyone who had supported him during his stand-a-thon attempt.
He made it clear that he would be announcing a new date for the challenge via his social media platforms.
