From James Town to Labadi, Ghana’s beaches and waterfronts are being overwhelmed with plastic waste.
Heaps of solid plastic waste get washed ashore every minute with its accompanying trash.
But scientists fear Ghana and other countries polluting their waters with plastic waste could be facing a more dangerous risk.
Marine chemists at the Water School in Florida Gulf Coast University say there’s evidence waters with solid plastic could also have millions of microplastics floating unseen with the naked eye.
