Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay on her birthday, February 20, paid a visit to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to donate some medical supplies.
The donation made to the paediatric ward, through the Wendy Shay Foundation, included baby cots, a radiant warmer, a paediatric bed, and a suctioning machine.
The singer's team noted that they wanted to provide resources that would help significantly improve the quality of care provided to newborns and children at the hospital.
Also, Wendy Shay reiterated the mission of her foundation and stressed that they are focused on helping improve healthcare and support those in need.
The "Survival" hitmaker said "as an artist, I believe in using my influence to create positive change. Through the Wendy Shay Foundation, we aim to address pressing social issues and contribute to building a better future for all."
The management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital extended their heartfelt gratitude to Wendy Shay and her foundation for their invaluable contribution. Dr Hope Glover Addy, head of the Paediatric Surgery Unit, lauded the donation, emphasising its impact on patient care.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time the RuffTown Records signee has made such donations.
In 2023, during World Children’s Day, she donated educational items to Weija Primary 1 and 2 pupils.
The items included newly sewn school uniforms, bags, whiteboards, and various stationery items.
