President Akufo-Addo has committed to establishing flawless conditions for the forthcoming elections on 7 December.
He emphasised the importance of enabling Ghanaians to elect their next leader as his term concludes on 7th January, 2025.
He reassured not only Ghanaians but also European allies of his dedication to uphold Ghana's esteemed democratic reputation post-election.
During a joint press event with Italy's President Sergio Mattarella, who was visiting Ghana, President Akufo-Addo said, "This December, we are going to have the 9th presidential and parliamentary elections of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
"I want to assure you, and through you, all our friends in Europe, that my government will ensure the elections are impeccable, transparent, free, and credible, granting the Ghanaian people the right to select their leader for the next four years."
Reflecting on his tenure, President Akufo-Addo said, "My own term is coming to an end with the election. Having served for eight years, I believe that is sufficient for any individual."
Meanwhile, President Mattarella highlighted the significance of international cooperation, stating that the collective progress of nations contributes to global advancement.
He noted the robust bond between Ghana and Italy, expressing his country's eagerness to enhance and strengthen these relations further.
