Ghana has been drawn in Group A for the upcoming 2024 West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Starlets find themselves in the same group with Cote d'Ivoire and Benin following the draw which was done in the early hours of Friday, April 19, in Abidjan.
Ghana, who will be hosting the competition, will look to do better than their previous attempt where they failed to make it to the final.
However, they face fierce competition from Benin and Cote d'Ivoire.
Defending champions of the tournament, Nigeria, however, find themselves in Group B.
The Golden Eaglets lead the charge in Group B alongside Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo.
This year's competition will be staged in Accra with the kickoff date scheduled for May 15.
The 2024 WAFU B U-17 AFCON qualifiers will be played through to May 28.
The tournament will serve as the qualifiers for the U-17 AFCON tournament to be played in 2025 with the two finalists booking their spots.
Ahead of the commencement of the competition, Laryea Kingston's side will leave Ghana on Friday, April 19 for a 4-nation tournament in Russia ahead of the start of the WAFU Tournament.
