Musician Kojo Kurankye also known as Ras Kuuku has revealed that his verse on Kofi Kinaata’s Effiakuma Love song was taken off.
He said he is unhappy with such a development as other musicians are doing same to him after recording with them.
Speaking with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, he said: “I was on the Effiakuma Love song. I did my verse of the song but I do not know why it was taken off. This was somewhere in 2020. After I did the song, he went to sing it again”.
“A lot of people are doing [the same] thing to me in this industry but I just keep quiet and observe without talking about it...I believe one day things will fall in place,” he said on Hitz FM.
He further narrated how his verse was taken off, stating he was the one who advised Kofi Kinaata to lighten his voice on the song.
“So why didn’t he say there was a mistake in the song? Because the first song he sang, his voice was thicker than mine, so I gave him a lighter voice.
“He went back to sing it again and when the song was released the following day, they came back apologizing for not coming for my data. I then told them to stop talking about the issue,” he stated.
He also clarified that he has no issue with the musician, but vowed to never grant any invitation for a collaboration with Kofi Kinaata.
“I was worried though but because Kofi is my brother I just kept it cool. I don’t have any issue with him, it's just that I had a song with him and he took my verse from it. Moreover, I don’t plan on having any remix on any song with him, because I will not do it,” he said.
