Ghana Head Coach Otto Addo has been addressing a ‘cluster of shortfalls’ after four days of training with the players, according to Ghana Football Association Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum.
The Black Stars have not won any of their last five matches in all competitions and face crucial World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Addo named 26 players for the two upcoming fixtures on May 30, and the team has since been training at the University of Ghana and Accra Sports Stadia.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Twum revealed that the coach is determined to improve the team's recent shortcomings.
"It is a cluster of shortfalls he [Otto Addo] has picked up in the five matches.
“Some could be the manner of conceding late, conceding cheap goals, goalkeeping errors, low confidence and these are some of the areas we've worked on in the last four days.”
The squad will have their final training session on Monday before departing for Bamako on June 4.
Ghana will face Mali on June 6 before hosting the Central African Republic four days later. The team currently sits fourth in Group I with three points after two matches.
