Aspiring Member of Parliament for the Adentan Constituency, Akosua Manu has yet again displayed her commitment to improving the educational outcomes of her constituents.
As part of preparation towards the Basic Education Certificate Examination, Akosua Manu popularly known as Kozie has launched an initiative to organize Mathematics and hands-on Practical Science lessons for BECE students.
This is to close the knowledge and skills gap necessary to excel in the examination.
Over 5,000 students in the Constituency will sit for this year’s BECE and this initiative goes a long way to improve the performance of students.
To kick off this initiative, a pilot session was held at the Christ Faith Mission School on Wednesday 28th May 2024 where over a 100 students received practical training in lab work and other science practical.
Students participating in this novel program have expressed happiness that they would be able to have this visceral experience of otherwise abstract subjects.
Speaking to patrons and teaching staff present, Akosua Manu assured that all public schools in the Constituency shall benefit from this initiative and beyond. Students from the constituency need to excel so they can benefit from the Free Senior High School policy of the Nana-Addo/Bawumia-led administration.
