Black Stars coach Otto Addo is calling for top performances from his side if they are to “beat everyone” in Group F of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The four-time champions will take on Sudan, Angola, and Niger for a slot in next year’s tournament, set to be staged in Morocco.
The clash against Sudan marks a reunion with former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah, who now manages the Falcons of Jediane.
The draw also repeats the 2023 AFCON qualifying series, where Otto Addo’s side faced Angola.
Ghana’s last encounter with Niger was at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, providing no recent familiarity between the teams.
“We have to be at our 100% best to beat everyone. There is no small team in Africa at the moment,” Addo said in an interview with Ghanafa.org
“You saw at the last AFCON that very, very strong and known teams had problems with the so called unknown teams so it’s going to be tough but I think we have the quality to beat all of them. But it’s going to be close, it’s going to be tough, there are no easy games."
The top two finishers from the group will secure qualification for the continental event in Morocco.
The qualifiers will commence in September this year to determine the first 24 nations out of the 48 that will compete in Africa’s biggest event.
CAF has set December 21, 2025, as the start date for the next edition, which will run until January 18, 2026.
