Ghana’s telecom giant MTN as part of its annual SME Month celebrations has opened a 3-Day Fair at the Tetteh Quashie Roundabout in Accra.
The programme falls under MTN’s strategic plan to support the growth of SMEs in the country.
The event, which is being organised under MTN Business, attracted hundreds of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their products and services.
The fair, which is in its second year created a platform for small and medium-size enterprise owners to exchange ideas and share opportunities.

First Bank Ghana and Enterprise Life were some of the big companies that participated in the fair. The companies displayed a wide range of products such as cosmetics, clothing and handicrafts.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Senior Manager of Business Sales at MTN, Mohammed Abubakari-Sidick, encouraged SMEs to participate in all the activities planned for the month and leverage the opportunities created by MTN Business.
Mohammed Abubakari-Sidick urged all stakeholders to support the growth of Ghana’s SME sector by patronizing their goods and services, enabling them to grow their businesses and make them more sustainable.
On her part, the Chief Enterprise Officer, Angela Mensah Poku, said throughout the SME month, businesses will have the opportunity to digitise their business and collaborate with partners of MTN and the SME ecosystem to advance initiatives like capability-building, e-bookkeeping and digital marketing.
