A non-governmental organisation, EVODIA Foundation, has supported the Manhyia Government Hospital with medical equipment and consumables to improve services at the pediatric unit.
The donation included thermometers, nebulizers, pulse oximeters, bed sheets, and diapers.
This presentation is particularly geared towards meeting the needs of women and children seeking care at the hospital.

Executive Director of EVODIA Foundation, Lordina Serwaa Boakye, said their core mandate is to support the vulnerable in society, especially women and children.
She highlighted the items donated to the Manhyia Government Hospital and urged the facility to make good use of them.

"We chose the paediatric unit because the kids are more vulnerable and need the help more. We just hope that the facility uses the tools effectively to save more lives,” she said.
Head of the Pediatric Unit at the Manhyia Government Hospital, Isha Abubakar expressed gratitude to the Foundation and called on other philanthropists to aid with other equipment such as pediatric monitor.

“These are things we need. The equipment is of so much essence to us. We are very much grateful to them for this donation.
“We believe that what they have done is worthy of emulating and I am hoping other bodies learn from it and come to our aid,” she said.
