The Executive Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV, has reiterated that management is committed to ensuring the club boasts facilities that match its status as one of the teams on the continent.
Hearts' management received keys to the newly built commercial centre on Tuesday, July 30, from the contractors after the old building was demolished two years ago.
According to Togbe, the facilities will serve its intended purpose of housing the club's achievements while also impacting the community.
"As I have always said, we have a vision to build a club that assumes prominence in African football while serving the community, while impacting the community and while making a difference in the lives of our people," he said.
"We acknowledge that we cannot do that unless we invest in infrastructure and this is a demonstration to our commitment to building a solid infrastructure-based Accra Hearts of Oak."
The management of the club also has plans to include a museum in the newly-built centre which will house some of the achievements and history of Hearts of Oak.
It is the hope of the Phobia Fraternity that the massive progress off the pitch will have a ripple effect on the pitch when the season resumes on September 6.
