The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, says it is a pleasant feeling to be vindicated in the Airbus saga.
This follows the Special Prosecutor's decision to clear the former President of all wrongdoing in the matter.
Mr Mahama stated that, nearly eight years after leaving office, no allegation of corruption has been proven against him.
“I have been out of office for more than seven years, seven months. No allegation of wrong doing has been proven against me including the baseless, airbus brouhaha that this government attempted to clothe me with.
“Once again today, I say it is a pleasant feeling to stand vindicated,” Mr Mahama said.
He added that members of the NDC have consistently submitted themselves for investigation whenever allegations of corruption are made against them.
Speaking at a public lecture to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of Ing. Paul Victor Obeng, John Mahama likened the investigations to those faced by the late statesman, which were conducted by CHRAJ.
