The Ghana Police Service has begun an investigation into the assault of a female student by male students believed to be from Kumasi Academy Senior High School.
In a video that went viral this week, scores of young boys believed to be students, are seen taunting the lady and chasing her away.
Some of them are seen whipping her from behind with plant shrubs amid jeering.

One of the boys grabbed her by the neck and violently kicked her to the ground, while the rest of the group cheered him on.
The cause of the incident remains unclear.
However, the police, in a statement released today, confirmed that they have taken up the matter.
The Service assured the public that “the perpetrators will be identified and arrested to face justice.
