The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has set social media abuzz with his recent post on electric vehicles while on a test drive.
According to him, it was an amazing experience to have had the opportunity to drive an electric car.
In a post on Facebook, the former President acknowledged that the future was electric and encouraged the journey towards sustainable mobility.
“As we navigate the challenges of climate change and urban congestion, the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) stands as a vital step towards a sustainable future. You are invited to join the journey,” he wrote.
Amidst his journey, Mr. Mahama also reviewed the vehicle, stating “It is a good experience, drives very easily and it will cut down the use of fuel and the foreign exchange we spend in bringing fuel. It should be possible for us to start assembling these vehicles here.”
Many Ghanaians who have sighted Mr Mahama’s video have said it’s a call in the right direction while touting him as a visionary leader.
