The running mate of the New Patriotic Party's Presidential candidate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has reacted to recent comments by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama.
Mr Mahama during his campaign tour stated that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, would have been slapped by the ghost of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah for disrespecting and comparing his achievements to President Akufo Addo.
“Today, these people can stand somewhere to disrespect Kwame Nkrumah. If Nkrumah had a ghost, he would have slapped NAPO” he said.
However, during a recent campaign stop, Dr. Opoku Prempeh made assertions that had it not been for the untimely death of late President John Evans Atta Mills, John Mahama would have faced prosecution for alleged corruption during his tenure as vice president.

Opoku Prempeh retorted, "If the ghost of President Mills existed, John Mahama would be in jail instead of seeking another term in office."
While touting the achievements of the NPP government, Dr. Opoku Prempeh added that John Mahama failed in his capacity as Vice President and President making him unqualified to be president again.
He encouraged voters to assess the performance of his government to renew its term in office.
He made these comments during a campaign tour in the Ahafo Ano South East Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
