The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has pledged the implementation of a $10 billion infrastructure investment in his next administration.
The infrastructure, which is a 5-year plan, is to improve critical sectors of the country.
The former President has also promised to complete ongoing projects rather than commence new ones.
He was speaking at the NDC’s manifesto launch at the University of Education, Winneba, on Saturday.
“I will complete abandoned and ongoing projects instead of rushing to start new ones. We will carry out an inventory of all hospitals, schools, electrification, water, and road projects that have stalled or been abandoned and make annual budgetary allocations for completing them,” he declared.

Ghana has suffered from abandoned projects since independence as a result of a change in government, ranging from the $3 billion STX housing deal to the controversial Saglemi Housing Project, which remains under contention.
